The formula for an excellent lecture:
aims/definitions (beginning) + summary key points (end) + three key examples = learning aplomb

Technology and media are often aligned to cultural and social consumption - whether enhancing points of sale or enabling novel interaction. My teaching examines the production of new knowledge, skills, business and expertise through examining how technologies change social and economic contexts.
We examine different forms of inequalities, which include social, cultural, economic and environmental. We also look at how businesses use aspects of cultural production in the design, distribution and marketing of products through technology. Student's examine how technologies change the market and conditions for society (such as 'free' downloads, pirating, multi-media streaming) and experiences (live feed concerts, enhanced live performance interactions). I teach UG and PG students, where I am dedicated to enhancing their learning experience and building their confidence. For many students - now of the 'born digital' generation - there is a tendency to dismiss and oversimplify the conditions of technology at the messy intersection of technology and society. While students feel confident with using social media, my teaching is designed to tackle emerging concerns, risks, harms and inequalities that examine technological innovation, digital rights and activism, and governance.
